Anti Wrinkle Makeup Product Tips

Here are a few simple anti wrinkle makeup product tips that can help diminish the appearance of wrinkles while drawing attention to your best features:

Face

• To help skin look smoother and prevent creasing, apply a face moisturizer and eye cream before concealer and foundation.

• It is important to set foundation and under-eye concealer with powder to prevent it from cracking and settling into wrinkles.  Use a matte finish powder because powders with sparkle will call attention to fine lines and wrinkles.  Unfortunately, powder can also make your skin look drier and older, so use sparingly and only as needed.

• Choose a light textured foundation or a tinted moisturizer—heavy foundations make skin look older.  Avoid oil-free or ultra matte foundations because they can make lines on the face more apparent.

• For red wrinkles (broken capillaries) use a lavender corrector under foundation.

Lips

• To distract from upper lip wrinkles, place lip gloss in the middle of the bottom lip.

•  Avoid matte lipsticks if your lips are dry and wrinkled.

• To prevent lipstick from bleeding (seeping into the fine lines around the lip); first apply foundation around the lips and let dry.  Second, trace and fill in lips with liner, and then apply lipstick.

Eyes

• For young and fresh looking eyelids, use a neutral, sheer eye shadow color such as rose, cinnamon, or a soft brown.

• Highlight the brow bone to bring attention above the eye.

• Never apply blush close to the lines around the eyes because it draws attention to wrinkles.

• To give a wide-eyed youthful appearance, use a darker color on the outer part of eyelids.

• Use dark shadow in the creases of the eyelids to make eyes more defined.

• Keep your eyebrows well groomed to eliminate aging shadows around the eye and distract from wrinkles below the eye.

• Use curl enhancing mascara to open up the eye and lift and correct droopy eyes.
